DESIGNING STAMPS technical information

The original stamps are 22 x 33 millimeters.
Perforation:
mostly 14 x 12 ¾
Printing techniques:
Lithography offset
Printer:
John.Enschede & Sons.
The two techniques I prefer are Pen & Ink and Color Pencil.
These two media are the best to work with in this small workspace.
The original drawing size is: 132 x 198 mm
I always use a hard paper from The Netherlands, called "Duifjes" paper.
When making pen drawings you need very hard paper that is very hard
in order to obtain fine lines.
This gives me the best results and works very well.
First, I make aber that the value has to be clear and easy to read on a stamp.
When making a stamp you are always keeping in mind that the end result is a
22 by 33 mm plain print - no text or value of stamp on it.
After finishing the drawing, I scan the drawing at a high resolution into my computer.
According to the contract, the word "Nederlandse" had to be half the size
of the word "Antillen".
The price of the stamp could be placed anywhere and the price must be
clear and easy to read..
When making a stamp you must keep in mind that the size of the stamp is
22 x 33 mm.
But the space will be sufficient if you put your mind to it.
Designing stamps was a dream of mine which became reality!
