Drawings of our daily life on streets on our island.

First setup in pencil where I make pen and ink lines as guideline.

With soft pastels the first underground of the tress will be made.
With darker parts I placed the first details.

Working on the main house.
They build this house with wood and zinc plates.
A simple way of living but enough against the sun and sometimes rain.

The part of the brushes in the foreground are ready now.
The house is ready so far only later the details at the end of the drawing.

The people sitting in the foreground now made.
We call the here "number verkoper" what mean lottery seller.
Mostly old woman who are getting some money for every sold ticket.

The old cars in fort of the house.

FINAL DRAWING

 

 

My final piece.
After I finished the street with soft pastels, I make all the details with pen and ink.
Curacao in their full glory, a daily look on our island
